Job Overview We are looking for an energetic and friendly Cashier to join our retail team. In this role, you'll be the face of our store, providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling sales transactions. Your main goal will be to create a welcoming environment for shoppers, ensuring smooth checkout experiences and fostering customer satisfaction. If you enjoy engaging with people, have a knack for retail sales, and are detail-oriented, this position is perfect for you! Responsibilities Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately during retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing. Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed. Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities. Stock shelves and merchandise displays to ensure the store remains organized and inviting for customers. Maintain proper cash drawer handling procedures and balance cash register at the end of shifts. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies. Follow phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone. Skills Previous experience with POS systems and cashiering is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Bilingual abilities are a plus, helping serve a diverse customer base. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and giving correct change. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and merchandising techniques. Experience in supervising or leading small teams is beneficial but not mandatory. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail.
