Responsibilities Greet members and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive first impression Manage member check-ins and check-outs using POS (Point of Sale) systems, accurately processing transactions and memberships Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about memberships, classes, and gym amenities Promote membership upgrades, class packages, and retail products through friendly upselling techniques Conduct product demos for new equipment or retail items to enhance member engagement and sales opportunities Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, merchandising retail products attractively and restocking as needed Assist with basic cashiering duties including cash handling, balancing registers, and processing payments efficiently Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating member records, and managing membership sign-ups or renewals Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold high standards of customer service Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with diverse members, including bilingual support if applicable Skills Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures in a retail or service environment Supervising experience is a plus; ability to lead by example in delivering excellent customer service Comfortable conducting product demos and promoting retail items or memberships confidently Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve our diverse member base effectively Excellent phone etiquette with clear, friendly communication skills Skilled in upselling memberships, classes, retail products, and additional services to maximize revenue opportunities Knowledge of merchandising techniques to display products attractively and manage stock levels efficiently Experience with stocking shelves, inventory management, and retail math calculations for accurate stock control Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle inquiries professionally and courteously Basic math skills for cash handling, balancing registers, and processing transactions accurately Familiarity with grocery store or retail environments is advantageous but not required; adaptability is key This role is perfect for energetic individuals who thrive on connecting with people, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to contribute positively to our fitness community.
