Duties Operate the cash register (POS system) efficiently, accurately processing sales, returns, and exchanges Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly and addressing their questions with confidence Upsell products and promote store specials through engaging product demos and friendly communication Manage cash handling duties including cash drawer balancing, coin and bill counting, and secure cash storage Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining a clean, organized checkout area Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and product labeling Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or directing calls to appropriate departments Requirements Prior experience with POS systems and cashiering operations in a retail or grocery environment preferred Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Excellent communication skills with a focus on friendly customer interactions and clear instructions Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising techniques, and grocery store operations beneficial Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering outstanding service!
