Full Job Description Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Order Taker. As an Order Taker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient order processing for our customers. This position requires excellent communication skills, basic math proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities:

• Take customer orders over the phone or in person using the Toast POS system
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and offering menu recommendations
• Ensure accuracy of orders by confirming details with customers and entering information correctly into the system
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders
• Handle cash transactions and credit card payments accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the order taking area
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations

Experience:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
• Familiarity with basic math calculations for order totals and cash handling
• Knowledge of the Toast POS system is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively
