TRUCKSTOP CASHIER POSITION
Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Truck Stop Cashier to join our team. In this fast-paced role, you will be the face of our travel plaza—processing retail and commercial fuel transactions, keeping our sales floor stocked and clean, and providing top-notch service to long-haul truck drivers, commuters, and travelers. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service:
Greet every customer promptly, assist with product inquiries, and deliver friendly, efficient service.- Point of Sale (POS): Accurately process cash, credit card, and commercial fleet card transactions for retail items, fuel, and diesel.
Age Verification:
Check government-issued IDs for all age-restricted sales, including lottery, tobacco, and alcohol.Store Maintenance & Restocking:
Keep retail displays, coffee/beverage stations, and fresh food counters clean, organized, and fully stocked.Register Management:
Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift and adhere to company cash-handling policies.Facility Maintenance:
Perform routine cleaning tasks across the retail area, restrooms, and parking entryways to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. Qualifications & Skills- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred (will train the right candidate).
- Basic math skills and confidence handling cash and POS terminals.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30-40 lbs when stocking shelves.
- Strong communication skills and a dependable work ethic.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
