Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier/Key Holder, where you'll be the friendly face that enhances the shopping experience for our customers! In this vital role, you'll handle retail sales transactions with precision, provide exceptional customer service, and support store operations. As a key holder, you'll also take on supervisory responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining a welcoming environment. Duties Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately. Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers, answering questions, and guiding product selections. Conduct product demos to showcase new or featured items, encouraging upselling and increasing sales. Maintain the cash drawer with meticulous cash handling and balancing at the end of each shift. Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product knowledge is up-to-date. Manage retail store product knowledge to inform customers effectively about features and benefits. Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Assist in supervising team members during shifts, including delegating tasks and ensuring excellent customer interactions. Perform basic retail math for transactions, inventory counts, and sales reporting. Support store opening and closing procedures as a Key Holder, including securing the premises and managing safety protocols. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering roles preferred; grocery store experience is a plus. Supervising experience or leadership roles in retail environments are highly valued. Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential. Strong communication skills in bilingual settings are advantageous for serving diverse customers. Demonstrated ability to upsell products through engaging product demos and customer interactions. Knowledge of retail math, cash drawer handling, and retail sales transactions is required. Experience with merchandising, stocking, and maintaining store displays enhances your effectiveness in this role. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are necessary for building positive relationships with shoppers.
