Duties Operate the cash register efficiently, accurately processing retail sales transactions and handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods. Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and providing product knowledge to enhance their shopping experience. Conduct product demos when needed, showcasing features and benefits to encourage sales. Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising displays to keep the store inviting and organized. Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly approach. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all cash drawer handling procedures are followed precisely. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Support team members by supervising or mentoring new cashiers and assisting with training on POS (Point of Sale) systems and retail procedures. Qualifications Previous experience operating POS systems and handling retail sales transactions is preferred. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers effectively. Proven supervising experience in a retail environment is advantageous. Knowledge of cashiering procedures, cash handling, retail math, and basic math skills are essential. Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and product demos confidently. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette. Familiarity with retail store product knowledge and merchandising standards to assist customers effectively.
