Head cashier may also be responsible for opening or closing procedures of a store, including alarm operation, unlocking store and setting up of checkout area.

10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Position Summary The Closing Lead is an hourly associate. This role is responsible for leading the night team, overseeing closing procedures, and ensuring the store is secured, organized, and ready for the next business day. The Closing Lead acts as the manager on duty during closing shifts and is expected to model leadership behaviors while building the skills needed for future promotion into a formal supervisory role. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership Supervise and direct the night team during scheduled shifts Assign closing tasks and monitor completion Serve as the primary point of contact for staff and customers during closing hours Coach associates on performance, provide real time feedback, and model expected behaviors Store Closing Operations Execute all closing procedures per company checklist, including cash handling, register reconciliation, and deposit preparation Ensure the sales floor, stockroom, and back of house areas are clean, organized, and ready for opening Confirm all equipment is powered down and secured appropriately Set and verify the alarm system and lock all entry points at close Safety and Security Ensure all associates leave the building safely at the end of their shift Follow loss prevention protocols and report any discrepancies or incidents to management Maintain awareness of store security procedures and emergency protocols Communicate nightly closing summaries and any issues to store management Qualifications Prior retail or customer service experience required; leadership or keyholder experience preferred Ability to work independently and make sound decisions without direct supervision present Strong communication and organizational skills Reliable and punctual, with the ability to consistently work the schedule listed above Must be able to lift up to 25 to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform closing duties that may include light cleaning and stocking Schedule Day Hours Monday 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Tuesday Off Wednesday Off Thursday 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Friday 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Saturday 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Sunday 10:00 AM to 6:00
