Gold Star Coffee is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily café operations. This role involves welcoming customers, taking orders, processing payments, answering general questions about menu items, and helping maintain a clean and organized service area. The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, and comfortable working in a busy coffee shop environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service. Take customer orders accurately and confirm order details. Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other approved payments. Answer general questions about coffee, beverages, food items, and café offerings. Communicate orders and customer requests clearly with baristas and team members. Provide receipts and help organize completed orders for dine-in, pickup, or takeout service. Keep the register, counter, and customer-facing areas clean and organized. Restock cups, lids, bags, napkins, utensils, and other café supplies. Assist coworkers with routine café duties during busy service periods. Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures. Support opening, closing, and other daily café responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Previous cashier, café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful. Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to customers. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Comfortable working in a fast-paced customer-service environment. Good attention to detail when handling orders and transactions. Able to learn POS systems, menu information, and café procedures. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
