In this energetic role, you'll handle retail sales transactions with precision, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure our store remains well-stocked and inviting. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for every customer while supporting smooth store operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills, including cash handling, product knowledge, and merchandising, all while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Duties Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods while maintaining a balanced cash drawer. Assist customers with their purchases by providing product information, answering questions, and offering upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience. Stock shelves efficiently by receiving deliveries, organizing merchandise, and ensuring products are properly displayed according to merchandising standards. Conduct product demos when applicable to promote new or featured items and engage customers in a friendly manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and sales floor to ensure a safe and inviting environment. Use POS (Point of Sale) systems effectively for retail transactions and inventory management. Support store operations by supervising or assisting less experienced team members when needed, fostering teamwork and excellent communication. Requirements Previous experience with POS systems, cash register operations, or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for supporting team efforts. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively. Strong communication skills and phone etiquette are essential for engaging with customers professionally. Ability to perform basic math accurately for retail math calculations such as making change and balancing cash drawers. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising principles, and stock management is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and proactive approach to sales and problem-solving. Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift merchandise safely, and perform stocking duties efficiently.
