For a bakery shop cashier , Basic cash-handling and math skills Good customer-service and communication skills Ability to operate a POS/cash register Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to stand for long periods and lift light-to-moderate items Clean, professional appearance and good personal hygiene Food-safety knowledge or willingness to obtain a food-handler permit, dependingon local rules Ability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays if needed Previous cashier, retail, restaurant, or bakery experience is helpful but often not required
