Our stores serve as community hubs that offer affordable shopping options, support job training for Teen Challenge students, and generate vital funding for local Teen Challenge centers. Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic Processor / Cashier to join our team! In this role, you will be the friendly face of our store, responsible for delivering excellent customer service while efficiently handling retail transactions. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment, support sales goals through upselling and product knowledge, and ensure smooth store operations. Duties Operate cash registers accurately, handling retail sales transactions with precision and confidence. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed. Manage cash drawer handling, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times. Stock shelves and merchandise displays to maintain an organized and inviting shopping environment. Assist with product knowledge sharing and upselling to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Maintain phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person. Support merchandising efforts by organizing products and ensuring store presentation aligns with company standards. Experience Previous experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems or cashiering is preferred. Supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is a plus. Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued. Familiarity with retail math, basic math skills, and cash register operations is essential. Experience in retail sales transactions, stock management, and merchandising will help you succeed. Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately and responsibly. Demonstrated excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are important for building positive shopper relationships.
