Responsibilities Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately during retail sales transactions, handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments with precision. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions about products, and assisting with product demos when needed. Manage cash drawer handling efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times. Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales and improve customer satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of retail store products and merchandising to assist customers effectively and support inventory stocking when necessary. Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Support store operations through tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor remains inviting and well-organized. Qualifications Prior cashiering experience in a retail environment is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is highly valued. Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information and engage customers positively. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling effective communication with a diverse customer base. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
