FOH Closing Lead

Mainstay Provisions is an all-day cafe and specialty market serving excellent coffee and specialty drinks alongside approachable Northwest scratch cooking...think breakfast, sandwiches, cookies, breads, pizza...We are looking for a full-time FOH closing lead for our Ballard location, Wednesday-Saturday 2pm-Close. Our restaurant is not late night, you should get out by 10pm at the latest. This position starts at $26/hr + tips. We utilize a house shared tip pool system for hourly employees with the expectation that everyone is chipping in. Tips regularly increase pay $4-$8 per hour depending on the day.

Full time employees are eligible for 50% paid health, vision and dental insurance through Aetna after two full months of employment. As well as free shift meals, discounts and other benefits.

The applicant should be someone experienced with coffee, beer and wine in a fast casual setting. They should be used to coaching and providing feedback to their fellow employees in a positive manner. They should be used to ordering product from vendors and working with inventory systems.

Please note...You should be able to stay on your feet. Know this is a busy restaurant where heavy items (gallons of milk, heavy bags etc.) are lifted regularly and cleaning is constantly happening. You will be interacting with customers, running food, prepping house made syrups, and working with an experienced team. You should expect to be treated with respect and compassion.
