Job Description
Door Knocker / Canvasser — Roofing (Hourly + Bonus) Roost Roofing - 1.0 Nashville, TN Job Details Part-time $18 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Outdoor work experience Lead generation Driver's License Door-to-door Mobile devices Full Job Description About the job You knock doors in Middle Tennessee neighborhoods, talk to homeowners about a free roof inspection, and book the appointment for our inspector. That's the job. You don't price roofs, you don't climb them, and you don't close the deal. You set the appointment and you get paid. This is evening and Saturday work, which is when people are actually home. It's a solid fit if you've got a day job, classes, or kids in school and you want real money for a few hours a night. We're a local Nashville roofing company, not a storm-chaser outfit that shows up after hail and disappears. That matters when you're standing on someone's porch. Schedule Monday through Friday, 4:00pm to 7:00pm (15 hours) Saturday, 10:00am to 3:00pm (5 hours) 20 hours per week total What you'll earn This is base plus bonus, not straight commission. You get paid for showing up, and you get paid more when you produce. $18.00/hour for every hour you're in the field, appointments or not + $25 for every qualified lead you set. Qualified means the homeowner is present, owner-occupied, and our inspector gets on the roof. + $100 every time one of your leads turns into a signed contract Paid weekly. No chargebacks on your base. Bonuses are uncapped. What that looks like in a week: 20 hours in the field with 4 qualified leads is $360 base + $100 in lead bonuses = $460. One of those signs and you've added another $100 on top. That's roughly $28/hour for part-time work. What you'll do Knock assigned neighborhoods and start conversations with homeowners Explain what a free roof inspection is and why it's worth 20 minutes of their time Book qualified appointments on the spot and log them in our system Confirm appointments and hand off clean notes to the inspection team Track your doors, contacts, and sets daily What we're looking for Comfortable talking to strangers and hearing "no" without it ruining your day Able to be on your feet outdoors for a full shift in Tennessee weather Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Smartphone for logging appointments 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S. No roofing experience required. We train you on the script, the pitch, and what storm damage looks like. If you've done door-to-door, solar, pest control, alarms, retail, restaurant, or any commission sales, you'll pick this up fast. How to apply Apply through Indeed. We're interviewing this week and putting people in the field fast.
