Job description Diamond Respiratory Care has supplied home medical equipment to Inland Empire patients for over thirty years : oxygen, CPAP, ventilators, hospital beds, mobility and more. Hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health and hospice agencies, and physician offices refer their patients to us because we set them up fast and get the paperwork right. We are hiring one outside sales representative for our Riverside / San Bernardino territory: Riverside, Jurupa Valley, Colton, Loma Linda, San Bernardino, Highland, Redlands and Yucaipa. You need to live in this territory. What the job actually is You work a route of 15-20 medical offices, hospitals and agencies a day, most of them unannounced. You walk in and build relationships with the people who actually decide where a referral goes: referral coordinators, medical assistants, office managers, discharge planners and case managers. You drop off materials, answer coverage questions, chase down a stuck order, and come back next week. New accounts can take time before the first referral. You keep showing up. As your territory matures you run lunch in-services teaching office staff about new equipment and insurance coverage criteria. You log every visit in our CRM. Who does well here Our best reps did not come from healthcare.

They sold office-to-office:

uniforms and linens, print advertising, payroll services, merchant services, freight, staffing, commercial cleaning, pest control. Cold walk-in, gatekeeper, rapport with the support staff, repeat visits, long sales cycle. If that is your background, we want to talk to you, and we will teach you the healthcare side. Current or former DME, home health, hospice or infusion reps with relationships in this territory are also a strong fit and ramp fastest. Requirements Live in the territory. At least two years of outside, in-person B2B sales: walking into businesses without an appointment or working a route. Phone-only inside sales, retail, and customer service do not qualify. Valid California driver's license, clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle (we pay a car allowance). Comfortable approaching strangers cold and building raport.

Self-directed:

nobody is watching you on a Tuesday afternoon in a parking lot, and you go to the next office anyway.

Nice to have:

Spanish; existing relationships with discharge planners or referral coordinators at Inland Empire hospitals and agencies.
