Job Description
About Us:
Hidden Pearl Mushrooms is a specialty mushroom farm based in Anaheim, CA. We grow high-quality gourmet mushrooms and sell fresh mushrooms, grow kits, and extracts at local farmers markets. We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual to represent our brand and sell our products at farmers markets.Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and break down the market booth, including tent, tables, and displays.
- Transport products and equipment to and from farmers markets (SUV or van required).
- Engage with customers, answer questions about our mushrooms, and provide cooking tips.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing display.
- Restock products as needed and ensure proper inventory tracking.
- Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and sampling.
Requirements:
- Must own or have consistent access to an SUV or van (to transport products and market setup).
- Available on weekends and possibly some weekdays, depending on the market schedule.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (for booth setup and product transportation).
- Outgoing personality with great customer service skills.
- Previous farmers market or retail experience preferred but not required.
- Passion for mushrooms, local food, or sustainable agriculture is a plus.
