As a Garden Center Merchandiser you will be expected to: Display a variety of outdoor plants- following planogram and modular sets Maintain product displays Water all plant materials Develop a watering plan with the store associates for additional support as needed Ensure proper signage is in place Maintain a safe and clean display area Remove and record expired plant material Interacting with store personnel and customers Develop a positive working relationship with store management and associates As a Garden Center Merchandiser, you will be required to: The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met in order to successfully perform the essential functions: Must be able to push/pull heavy vendor carts and lift and arrange product on carts and displays Must be able to lift, move, and carry pots and/or trays of plants/flowers/hanging baskets consistently throughout the day, weighing up to 40 lbs. Must be able to work in all weather conditions (rain, snow, hot, cold) Must be able to walk/stand for a majority of your shift Our ideal candidates will demonstrate the following: Strong communication skills Highly organized Detail Oriented Responsible, reliable and dependable work habits Self-starter / Self-motivated Previous merchandiser experience appreciated - will train strong candidates
