Store Operations & Merchandising Manager Super Buy Rite - Perth Amboy Perth Amboy, NJ Job Details Full-time From $50,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Store Operations & Merchandising Manager Super Buy Rite Perth Amboy is seeking a hands-on Store Operations & Merchandising Manager to work directly with ownership and help drive day-to-day execution across the store. This is not a desk-management position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable being on the sales floor, walking the store, identifying what needs attention, directing staff, following up on assigned work, and making sure the store is stocked, organized, merchandised, and ready for customers. Responsibilities Work directly with ownership to execute daily store priorities Maintain a fully stocked, organized, clean, and customer-ready sales floor Regularly walk the store to identify out-of-stocks, misplaced merchandise, pricing issues, display opportunities, and areas requiring attention Assign tasks to cashiers and stock staff and follow through to ensure work is completed properly Coordinate with stock staff to make sure deliveries and back stock are worked efficiently Build and maintain floor displays, endcaps, promotional areas, and seasonal merchandising Monitor high-volume and fast-selling products and communicate replenishment needs Ensure shelves, coolers, register areas, aisles, and back-stock areas meet store standards Identify operational problems and address them before they become larger issues Help maintain staff accountability, productivity, and consistent execution across shifts Assist customers and model strong customer service standards for the team Communicate staffing, merchandising, inventory, and operational concerns directly to ownership Step into stocking, merchandising, register support, or customer service as needed What We're Looking For Previous retail management, assistant management, department leadership, merchandising, or store operations experience Strong follow-through and attention to detail Comfortable directing staff and holding employees accountable for assigned work Able to recognize what needs to be done without waiting for constant instruction Strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment Willing to be active and on the sales floor throughout the shift Dependable, professional, and consistent Liquor, grocery, convenience, big-box, or high-volume retail experience is strongly preferred The Right Fit The successful candidate will spend most of the day actively walking the store, merchandising, checking inventory conditions, directing staff, assisting customers, and following through on assigned work. We are looking for someone who understands that strong retail management means more than assigning tasks — it means assigning, inspecting, correcting, and making sure the job gets finished. This position works closely with ownership and will have a meaningful role in improving store operations, merchandising standards, staff execution, and overall customer experience.
