Schedule Saturday through Wednesday What to Expect as a WeHo Perenn Grocery Retail and Merchandising Assistant Manager Manage purchasing across grocery, retail, and specialty food categories for Tennessee locations Forecast demand and seasonal inventory needs Analyze sales and inventory performance Build and maintain strong supplier relationships Coordinate lead times, deliveries, and product availability Verify product arrivals and work with vendors in the event of broken or missing products Maintain vendor records and product information Coordinate product samples, testing, and vendor communication Maintain strong knowledge of bakery offerings, grocery products, specialty beverages, and retail merchandise to confidently assist guests and support team members Maintain category organization and assortment integrity Develop and maintain merchandising standards Coordinate new product launches from concept through execution Support seasonal collections, gifting programs, and limited-time offerings Coordinate seasonal resets and product transitions Track inventory levels, conduct routine stock checks, and identify replenishment needs Minimize out-of-stocks, excess inventory, and spoilage Lead and train Grocery Associates in stocking product and removing expired or discontinued product Delegate daily operational and merchandising tasks to Grocery Associates, including display setup and product rotation Maintain accurate SKU and product databases Input item information and inventory into Toast (POS) Monitor and update pricing and signage Deliver a welcoming, curated shopping experience by guiding guests through product selections, recommendations, and usage suggestions Lead, coach, and support team members in delivering exceptional sales and service experiences Uphold Perenn's hospitality standards by providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment Address guest concerns professionally and resolve issues in a timely manner Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and leadership to support smooth daily operations Foster a positive team culture through ongoing coaching, recognition, and performance feedback Ensure the cleanliness and organization of both customer-facing and back-of-house areas Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned About You Must be 18 years of age or older due to sale of alcohol A minimum of 2 years of experience in a grocery or food/beverage procurement-related role, with prior experience in a leadership or management role preferred Strong barista experience Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds regularly Must be able to stay on feet for prolonged periods of time Perenn is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
