Responsibilities Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct parts for heavy-duty and light-duty vehicles, providing expert advice on automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance. Manage inventory levels accurately using inventory management systems (CMMS) and POS software, ensuring stock is replenished efficiently to meet customer demand. Process sales transactions smoothly through cashiering and POS systems while maintaining excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries. Collaborate with the service team to support automotive repair and automotive service operations by ensuring timely order fulfillment of parts needed for repairs. Maintain organized stock shelves, conduct regular inventory control checks, and implement stocking procedures to optimize space and accessibility. Negotiate pricing, deals, or returns with suppliers or customers to maximize sales opportunities while upholding dealership standards. Utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking orders, analyzing sales data, and supporting marketing initiatives aimed at boosting retail sales. Provide outstanding customer service by addressing questions promptly, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Support maintenance of the dealership's CMMS system for accurate record keeping of parts inventory and order history. Uphold safety standards during all operations, including proper handling of automotive parts and adherence to organizational policies. Experience Previous dealership experience or retail sales background in automotive parts is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance procedures, and automotive repair processes. Proven skills in inventory management, stock control, order fulfillment, and retail math to ensure accurate transactions and stock levels. Experience with POS systems, CMMS software, Microsoft Excel, and general maintenance procedures is advantageous. Excellent communication skill are a plus; effective phone etiquette is essential. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers or customers while maintaining professionalism. Organizational skills with keen attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
