JOB SUMMARY
The Parts Clerk reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. They are responsible for sourcing, order, and receiving parts. The Parts Clerks will keep records of all parts purchased and the financials related to the purchases by working in an ERP and excel documents. The Parts Clerk will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the parts inventory shelves and cataloging parts into a computerized inventory management system. Additionally, the Parts Clerk will be required to report on inventory level and financials.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Orders parts as indicated by the parts usage form and/or purchase orders, coordinated to avoid duplication of order. Inventories "critical spare parts" daily to ensure availability of high-use items (per list). Maintains the parts areas and stock rooms in clean, neat, and organized conditions. Ensures that P.O.'s are filled out correctly per procedure Obtains Maintenance Manager's signature of approval on all P.O.'s prior to purchasing if required. Checks competitors cost on like items to ensure the best pricing. Periodically creates reports for Maintenance Manager comparing costs or parts usage over a period of time. Conducts formal quarterly and annual inventories. Participates in inventory program. Updates inventory as required. Ensures parts receiving relieving are done on a daily basis into the computer inventory program. Updates inventory as required. Tracks all purchases and costs and maintains a budget Ships and receives department parts as required. Checks and signs for incoming parts. Generates receipts for outgoing parts. Monitors the annual budget and checks with the Maintenance Manager for the expenses plan for the week. Responsible for removal of department hazardous wastes such as oil, solvent, etc. Have these items removed by licensed hauler. Ensures proper manifests are completed and filed. Coordinates availability, arrival, and purchasing of spare parts with Maintenance Management to ensure parts are available when required. Monitor and orders chemical inventory. Responsible for Fire Safety (flow testing, sprinkler system, and fire extinguishers.) Follow all Safety procedures and Company Safety policies
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) Preferred Minimum 1-year related manufacturing experience Analysis skills for problem solving and decision making Effective communication skills Microsoft Office Suite Basic mathematical and statistical skills EEO Statement Crown Bakeries is an equal opportunity employer.
