HTC - Back Parts Counter Sales 1 HOLT Truck Centers - 3.6 Tulsa, OK Job Details Full-time 1 hour ago Qualifications Customer communication Employee relationship building High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description Description The Back Parts Counter Sales Representative 1 is responsible for ordering new parts, staging parts, inspecting parts, and returning parts/cores in support of the Service Department. This position will also assist with completing inventory functions and cleanliness of the parts warehouse. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development. Key Responsibilities Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission. Ensures that appropriate parts are available and order as necessary for the service department Cross-references non-OEM parts needs to utilize existing inventory Utilizes network of vendors to procure parts, price compare, and determine best available lead-time. Maintain healthy vendor relationships ensuring prompt processing of invoices, credits, cores, and warranty parts Assists with maintaining parts inventory and cleanliness of warehouse Processes credits as needed Assists the parts counter and will call customers Delivers parts as needed to designated technician/bay Performs parts inventory functions up to, but not limited to; daily bin and cycle counts, putting up stock orders, receiving and acknowledging parts back orders, and pick/pack/shipment of all parts orders Assumes turn in after-hour call out rotation to assist customers in after hour call out needs; measured by adherence to set schedule and call out report provided to management by the answering service, and customer feedback Works beyond scheduled hours as required by workload and customers' needs to include on call rotation where applicable Page 2 of 3 Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards. Performs other duties assigned. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software such as Procede, Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word. Planning and organizing skills to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; plan for additional resources. Knowledge of safe work procedures and practices. Verbal and written communication skills. Maintain high level communication with service department on status of part orders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Exceptional customer service skills. Operation and control skills of equipment or systems. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to read, write, and understand information. Ability to meet deadlines and work under fast-paced, time constraining circumstances. Ability to maintain good relationships with customers and co-workers. Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. No experience required; up to two years of work-related experience preferred. Willing to be trained, to operate a conventional forklift required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Travel:
Minimal training related travel required for this position. Daily travel will vary depending on vendor parts pick-up, delivering of parts to customers and field technicians in a company vehicle. Valid Driver's license required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Significant amount of time standing and walking. Minimal amount of time kneeling, crouching, stooping, climbing, crawling, balancing, and reaching. Page 3 of 3 Constant movement and use of hands, this position requires good manual dexterity. Communicates with customers, service personnel, and co-workers. Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work. Occasionally lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
Regularly works indoors. Occasionally outdoors. Exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment.
