Parts Advisor Key Responsibilities:
Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. Informs the customer of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line. Answers phone calls and provides price quotes and other information. Provides a high level of service to internal and external customers. Pulls and fills orders from stock. Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts that need immediate attention. Locates backordered SOP parts. Replenishes assigned inventory daily. Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on the service repair order. Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization. Issues and tracks requested shop tools to technicians. Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered. Required to post lost sales. Maintain professional appearance. Proactively communicate potential issues with customers, management, and other departments in order to provide the best possible customer experience. Follow safety protocols and team lifting techniques. Complete required dealership training. Abide by company policy and departmental best practices and procedures and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications:
Shifts vary; Dealership Operates Monday - Saturday; Scheduling may require weekends before/after business hours. High school diploma or the equivalent Authorized to work in the USA for any employer All applicants must have a current and valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and must be insurable under our garage-keepers policy standards Previous experience in a similar role is preferred Basic communication, problem solving, and mathematical skills using American units of measure Physical demands include: constantly move and position body to traverse multi-level Dealership property and various terrain; handle packages and inventory of various shapes and sizes; enter/exit/drive/operate parts vehicles and equipment; detect and identify vehicle issues and shop safety concerns; exert force to move/manipulate objects
