Marketing and Events Specialist Founded in 1979, Mount Madonna School (MMS) is a co-educational, preschool-12, college-preparatory day school nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains, straddling Watsonville and Gilroy. Mount Madonna School is a diverse learning community dedicated to creative, intellectual and ethical growth. Mount Madonna School is seeking a creative, energetic, and talented individual to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate is equally at home designing behind the desk, gathering content "in the field", or designing and setting up event experiences. Much of Mount Madonna School's marketing is event-based, designed to engage audiences to instill and grow a sense of community and pride in our school. Position Summary This is a 12-month, full-time, on-site marketing and event marketing position at Mount Madonna School. The successful candidate is proficient in design and the use of design and productivity tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Google Suite, MS Office Suite, Meta Business Suite, Constant Contact, and more. The candidate must also be able to create engaging social media posts, author and lay out stories capturing campus life, lay out traditional media advertisements, and have an eye for setting up physical spaces for events. Primary Responsibilities Media/Content Marketing Create and publish engaging content daily in Meta Suite (Facebook and Instagram) Author and publish articles and stories for internal and external audiences Lay out traditional media (print and digital) ads for enrollment, outreach, and events Directly shoot/capture photo and video content around campus and at events Compile and organize photo and video content from faculty and colleagues from campus and events Track marketing expenses to a predefined budget Maintain Mount Madonna School profiles in partnered marketing channels (Google Search Console, Niche.com) Campaign Production Design and publish weekly eNewsletter using Constant Contact Collaborate on the design and production of various campaign assets Publish campaign elements Maintain physical campus bulletin boards (monthly) Event Production Collaborate on the design and production of various event elements ranging from collateral and ads to event activities and flow Assist in physical event setup and execution Solicit and coordinate community volunteers Qualifications Proficiency in Google Suite Proficiency in Adobe Suite - primarily Illustrator and Photoshop. Proficiency creating and publishing to Facebook and Instagram Prior experience in graphic design and layout Comfortable using SaaS tools such as Constant Contact, Wordpress, and Canva.
