Borba Property Group is looking for a motivated, personable, and results-driven Leasing Specialist to join our team! As a Leasing Specialist, you will be a key part of our leasing team, helping prospective residents find the right home while guiding them through the leasing process from the first inquiry to move-in. What You'll Do Leasing & Sales Promote available apartment homes by highlighting features, amenities, and overall value. Build relationships with prospective residents and understand their housing needs. Conduct engaging in-person and virtual property tours . Use strong sales and communication skills to convert prospects into applicants and residents. Encourage applications during or immediately following property tours. Assist with Section 8 voucher applications and related documentation . Lead Management Respond to and follow up with prospective residents in a timely manner. Follow up within 24 hours with prospects who have not submitted an application. Confirm scheduled tours and maintain accurate lead information. Document tours, prospect feedback, and activity in AppFolio . Maintain accurate records of no-shows, cancellations, and application status. Application Processing Review and process rental applications accurately and efficiently. Conduct application underwriting through the Two Dots platform. Communicate approval or denial decisions professionally and promptly. Guide approved applicants through the next steps of the leasing process. Convert approved applicants into residents once required deposits have been received. Property & Vacancy Management Regularly visit vacant units to ensure they are clean, presentable, and ready for tours and move-in. Report maintenance, cleanliness, or readiness concerns to the appropriate team members. Ensure "For Rent" signage and banners are in place or scheduled. Once a unit is rented and the required deposit is received, coordinate the removal of the lockbox and notify the appropriate internal teams and property owner. Communication & Teamwork Work closely with the Leasing Manager, Property Supervisors, Maintenance, and other internal teams to create a smooth leasing and move-in experience. Maintain accurate vacancy reports and leasing fee tracking. Provide daily and weekly leasing updates as needed. Share prospect and tour feedback and make thoughtful recommendations based on market conditions and customer feedback. Communicate proactively with the leasing team regarding pending applications, follow-ups, and other outstanding items. Coordinate coverage and communication with the Leasing Manager before scheduled time off. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who is: Friendly, professional, and customer-focused Confident and comfortable in a sales environment An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing Highly organized and detail-oriented Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities Comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player Responsive and committed to timely follow-up Able to build rapport quickly with prospective residents Comfortable learning and using technology and property management software Preferred Qualifications Previous leasing, property management, real estate, sales, or customer service experience Experience with AppFolio or similar property management software is a plus Experience with rental application processing or underwriting is a plus Knowledge of Section 8 or affordable housing programs is a plus Bilingual in Spanish is a must

Compensation:
