Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Apartment Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic property management team. Responsibilities Greet prospective tenants warmly, providing detailed tours of available apartments and community amenities to showcase the property's best features. Manage lease or rental agreement processes accurately using property management software such as Yardi and OneSite, ensuring all documentation complies with legal standards. Conduct thorough tenant screening, including background checks and verification of income, Section 8 assistance, and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant law, and Section 8 policies to ensure compliance in all leasing activities. Handle client communication via phone, email, and in person with professionalism and courtesy, addressing inquiries promptly and effectively. Negotiate lease terms, upselling additional services or amenities to enhance resident satisfaction while meeting property revenue goals. Oversee lease or rental agreement management, including data entry, filing, and contract administration within property management tools. Collaborate with team members on property maintenance coordination, facilities management issues, and budgeting efforts to support community operations. Resolve conflicts efficiently using conflict management skills to foster positive relationships with residents and prospective tenants. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) updates, and maintaining accurate leasing records. Experience Proven experience as an apartment leasing consultant or in property management with a strong understanding of lease management processes. Extensive knowledge of property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms. Demonstrated familiarity with legal administrative procedures related to leasing and tenant rights under landlord-tenant law. Experience working with LIHTC programs and Section 8 housing assistance is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills complemented by excellent phone etiquette and client relationship management abilities. Background in real estate administrative functions including contracts, data entry, filing systems, and facilities management tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Team management experience is a plus but not required; a collaborative attitude is essential for success.
