Tampa / St.Petersburg, FL Compensation:
$150,000-$160,000 Base + 15-20%Bonus Experience:
3-5 Years About the Opportunity We are partnering with a large, vertically integrated real estate platform with an active development pipeline spanning mixed-use, multifamily, industrial, retail, and data center assets across major U.S. markets. Due to continued growth and a significant mixed-use development project in the Tampa Bay area, the firm is seeking a Development Manager to serve as a key member of the local project team. This role is ideal for a development professional who enjoys being on-site, coordinating projects, and driving execution rather than focusing exclusively on financial modeling or institutional capital markets activities. The successful candidate will play a hands-on role throughout the development lifecycle and work closely with internal analysts, consultants, contractors, design professionals, and senior development leadership. Key Responsibilities- Support the execution of large-scale development projects from pre-development through completion.
- Act as a local representative for active development projects in the Tampa/St. Petersburg market.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, municipalities, and third-party consultants.
- Assist with entitlement, permitting, zoning, and regulatory processes.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and construction milestones to ensure timely delivery.
- Participate in site visits, construction meetings, and stakeholder discussions.
- Help manage due diligence efforts and oversee development-related reporting.
- Collaborate with internal finance and analytics teams responsible for underwriting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Track project risks, identify potential issues, and work with senior leadership to implement solutions.
- Support multiple asset types, including mixed-use, multifamily, industrial, retail, and data center developments. Qualifications
- 3-5 years of real estate development, owner's representative, project management, construction management, or related experience.
- Exposure to active ground-up or major redevelopment projects.
- Strong understanding of the development process, including entitlements, design coordination, permitting, construction, and project execution.
- Experience working alongside general contractors, consultants, and municipal agencies.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
