Full-Time, Onsite Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and client-focused legal assistant to join our growing Vermont practice. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is looking to build a career in residential real estate and title work. The Vermont Legal Assistant provides administrative and file support to the attorneys and paralegals handling real estate transactions through our Killington office. This is an entry-level, onsite position requiring strong organization, attention to detail, and a willingness to assist wherever needed. Key Responsibilities Assist with incoming telephone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate team member. Organize files and confirm that all required documents and information have been received. Follow up on outstanding title work, municipal information, and other file-related items. Prepare and organize title work for attorney review. Assist with post-closing responsibilities for all Vermont transactions while working in the office. Help ensure files remain organized, complete, and on schedule. Provide general administrative and file support to attorneys, paralegals, and other team members as needed. Communicate professionally with clients, lenders, real estate agents, municipalities, and other parties involved in the transaction. Assist with additional office responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and follow-through. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Comfortable learning new systems, procedures, and real estate terminology. Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to assist in different areas as office needs evolve. Commitment to providing exceptional client service. Preferred Experience (Not Required) Experience in a real estate law firm, title company, or legal office Familiarity with document management systems or closing software What We Offer Mentorship from experienced estate planning and real estate attorneys.
