Ink Technician (Experienced)

Ink Systems, Inc. is looking for an experienced individual to join our team located in Sandy Hook, CT. The right candidate will possess good work-ethic, be highly motivated, a team player, and reliable. Basic Job Description Generate batch tickets for production Weigh, mix and Q.C. batches Log and track ink usage and open and close jobs at press side Use spectrophotometer equipment and software to QC batches vs. master wet samples Log and communicate information/issues to co-workers and manager Technical press side support Knowledge of ink formulations Ability to make accurate mathematical calculations Ability to distinguish colors precisely Knowledge of color matching Weigh batches of ink and process batch tickets Ability to mix ink Ability to manually lift up to 32 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. safely. General Requirements 2+ years experience batch weighing 2+ years experience color matching of lithographic and/or flexographic printing Understand all safety rules and procedures. Must be able to perform all tasks/duties required in an appropriate time frame. Basic math and computer skills. Work and communicate well with co-workers, supervisors. Ability to have reliable transportation back and forth to work. High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and understand both oral and written instructions. Working and standing up to 3-4 hours at a time. Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
