Music & Arts seeks a part-time Senior Sales Associate to support our mission of advancing music education. In this retail role, you'll greet customers, recommend band and orchestra instruments, accessories, and lessons, and manage rentals and repairs. You'll process sales and rental contracts, handle basic POS and cash procedures, and keep displays organized and stocked. You'll collaborate with teachers, students, and parents, support in-store events, and meet sales goals while delivering an outstanding, educational customer experience in a friendly, team-focused environment. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide consultative sales support for instruments, rentals, and lessons Process sales, rentals, repairs, and returns using POS and cash-handling procedures Advise students, parents, and educators on appropriate band and orchestra instruments and accessories Manage rental agreements and explain terms, protection plans, and billing clearly Maintain merchandising standards, signage, and organized, well-stocked displays Assist with scheduling and promoting private lessons and in-store events Meet or exceed individual and store sales and conversion goals Support incoming school service orders and educator partnerships Handle customer service issues and escalate repairs or special orders as needed Collaborate with team members to uphold a student-focused, inclusive store culture Required Skills Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling Product knowledge - band and orchestra instruments Instrument rental processing Merchandising and store presentation Lesson and service scheduling Communication and listening Basic computer skills
