Dundee or Luna Pier, Michigan Position Summary Beef Jerky Unlimited is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and customer-focused Retail Team Member to join our team. This position plays an important role in creating a fun, welcoming shopping experience while helping customers discover their favorite jerky flavors. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has a positive attitude, takes pride in keeping the store clean and organized, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment. A passion for great customer service—and jerky—is a definite plus! Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales Greet customers warmly and create a friendly, welcoming store environment. Assist customers in selecting products and recommend flavors based on their preferences. Educate customers about Beef Jerky Unlimited products, flavors, and promotions. Encourage customers to sample products and discover new favorites. Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale system. Handle cash, credit/debit transactions, and other forms of payment. Promote current sales, bundles, subscriptions, and special offers. Help create an experience that encourages customers to return and recommend Beef Jerky Unlimited to others. Store Operations Restock jerky, merchandise, packaging, and other products as needed. Maintain attractive and well-organized product displays. Ensure product pricing and signage are accurate and up to date. Keep the store, counters, displays, and customer areas clean and organized. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures. Monitor product inventory and communicate low-stock items to management. Assist with receiving and organizing shipments. Help maintain a clean and organized back-of-house area. Customer Experience Help customers navigate the self-serve jerky barrels and understand how the experience works. Provide a fun and memorable shopping experience for first-time and returning customers. Answer customer questions professionally and courteously. Handle customer concerns or complaints appropriately and involve management when necessary. Represent the Beef Jerky Unlimited brand in a positive and professional manner. Additional Responsibilities Assist with seasonal promotions, special events, and in-store marketing initiatives. Help maintain merchandising and promotional displays. Assist with packaging and other retail tasks when needed. Support other team members and contribute to a positive team environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous retail, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required. Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer-service skills. Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic. Comfortable interacting with customers of all ages. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail. Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical work. Must be able to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
