Overview:
The Retail Sales Representative is the face of Hard Rock Stone Works in the showroom and plays a critical role in guiding customers through the selection and purchasing process for granite, quartz, and solid surface countertops. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming and informative experience, generating quotes, following up on leads, and converting visitors into satisfied customers. The ideal candidate is a motivated, outgoing individual who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and enjoys helping people bring their home projects to life. Conducts exceptional customer service out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both internal and external customers. Responsible for offering the best possible customer experience as well as providing hands-on explanations of any new or updated products when necessary. Demonstrate excellent social skills in order to foster strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement Greet walk-in customers and provide product education, design guidance, and material selection support Build strong rapport with homeowners, designers, and contractors through effective communication and trust Guide customers through the Hard Rock sales process—from material selection to quote generation and contract signing Responsible to answer phones and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner Ability to drive to job sites or showrooms to provide in home estimates, take measurements, deliver product, etc. Sales Performance Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and individual performance goals Follow up on showroom visits, web leads, and referrals using CRM or designated tracking tools Upsell edge profiles, sinks, backsplash, and other accessories to increase project value Ensure accurate documentation of customer quotes, job specs, and communication notes Quoting & Documentation Prepare and present professional, detailed quotes based on customer selections and project details Coordinate with project coordinators and scheduling to ensure customer timelines and expectations are met Maintain accurate and complete records of customer interactions and transactions Showroom Maintenance Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing displays of stone slabs, samples, and product literature Ensure signage and promotional materials are current and well-stocked Report low sample inventory or showroom needs to the Retail Sales Manager Team Collaboration Work closely with Project Coordination, Templating, and Install teams to support a smooth customer journey Attend sales meetings, product training sessions, and marketing events as needed Support showroom events, home shows, or special promotions as scheduled
Qualifications:
1-3 years of retail sales experience, preferably in home improvement, remodeling, or interior design Strong communication and customer service skills Comfortable working with design concepts, measurements, and custom projects Ability to manage multiple customers and leads simultaneously Basic math skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software Prior experience with granite, quartz, or countertops is a plus High school diploma or equivalent required
