Job Description
Studs Building and Home is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Floor Associate to join our team. As a Sales Floor Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting and selling products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. Duties
- Complete customer sales at check-out registers
- Assist with customer phone calls and in-store inquiries
- Receive payments on accounts
- Stock received inventory
- Assist with store displays
- Color match and mix paint products
- Assist with customer load outs if necessary
- Maintain and preserve quality/condition of inventoried items
- Complete store opening and/or closing procedures
- Accurately reconcile cash registers
- General housekeeping
- Assist Receiving and Ordering departments as needed
- Additional tasks assigned by Merchandizing Supervisor and/or Branch Manager Skills To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Ability to use computers and point of sale software
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred
- Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly sales floor
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Proficient phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries
