Job Description
Music & Arts is seeking a PT Senior Sales Associate for our retail store. In this role, you'll lead sales on band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons while delivering exceptional customer service to students, parents, and educators. You'll mentor sales associates, open and close the store, process transactions, and support merchandising and inventory. You'll also partner with local schools, promote education programs, and help customers find the right instruments and services in a collaborative, student-focused, performance-driven environment. Responsibilities Lead in-store sales of instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons Provide expert, student-focused customer service to parents, students, and educators Mentor and support sales associates on products, sales techniques, and service standards Handle opening and closing procedures and ensure accurate cash handling Maintain product displays, signage, and merchandising standards Support inventory processes including stock checks and restocking Promote and enroll customers in music lesson programs and education services Build relationships with local schools and educators to support program needs Resolve customer issues and service concerns promptly and professionally Contribute to store sales goals in a collaborative, performance-oriented culture Required Skills Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling and reconciliation Product knowledge - musical instruments Merchandising and display Inventory management basics Sales reporting and tracking Lesson and rental program enrollment Communication and relationship building
