He or she may be required to open and close the center, help manage productivity and ensure the center's team delivers world-class customer service to all customers, monitor cost control and expenses, and contribute to weekly and monthly reports developed by the Center Manager and provided to the leadership team. The Sales Associate is involved with profit/loss, continuous improvement, service delivery levels, personnel management, and business development. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with some college coursework or a degree preferred, one year of retail store operations experience, strong supervisory/managerial/leadership skills, excellent computer/internet/software knowledge, the physical ability to perform this job (lifting, bending, etc.), and knows how to listen, follow, lead, and help the Center Manager attain defined targets. He or she must have a dynamic personality and must be able to help motivate a team to optimize performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and recommend products or services that fit their needs.
Shipping and Receiving:
Weigh, lift, and process inbound and outbound packages, generate labels, and operate shipment software.
Packing:
Pack items safely using company-approved materials and proper procedures.
Print and Business Services:
Operate copiers, wide-format printers, fax machines, binding equipment, and computers to complete print orders.
POS and Cash Handling:
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, process transactions accurately, and perform end-of-day cash balancing.
Store Upkeep:
Stock retail shelves, maintain product displays, and keep the lobby clean and organized Up-Selling & Cross-Selling Services Creating a consultative selling culture with an emphasis on developing ongoing professional relationships with top customers Helps manage Center maintenance, including cleanliness, safety, and organization May need to support other locations, Flemington and Sparta, NJ
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required Advanced education degree, coursework, or tech school desired Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in logistics, retail, or other relevant industry P&L experience preferred Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites Outstanding phone skills Strong customer service skills and abilities Willing and able to work 25 to 30 hours per week for a 7-day work week Able to lift 50+ pounds
