Duties Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order taking and cash handling Manage cash register transactions efficiently, including processing payments and giving correct change Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales revenue Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the front counter area, including bussing tables and food stations Ensure food safety standards are met by following proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures Assist with food preparation tasks in the café or quick service environment as needed Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness Handle customer inquiries professionally, resolve issues promptly, and promote a positive atmosphere Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth service flow Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety standards Experience Prior experience in food service or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Experience in quick service or fast food restaurants will help you excel in this role Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service with a friendly attitude Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques Previous experience in cashiering or serving in a café or grocery store environment is advantageous This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in the food industry.
