Who are we? Genesis Comics and Gaming is a local game store with locations in Patchogue and Ronkonkoma! At our Patchogue location, we sell comic books as well as sports cards and at our Ronkonkoma store, we sell Magic the Gathering, Lorcana, Pokemon, and other TCGs as well as Dungeons and Dragons books. Our hope is to bring gamers and collectors together while inspiring passion and community. Why work here? Working here is more than just a retail job, it is being part of a community that loves to play. We regularly host Magic the Gathering and Lorcana events, and we maintain a consistent stock of Pokemon products and Dungeons and Dragons products. What does it take? Interact at a high level with customers and provide excellent service in person, over the phone and via email/Discord Answer questions and address concerns in a timely manner Utilize Google programs, Microsoft Outlook, and other web platforms to track projects, tasks, inventory, etc. Process transactions through point of sale (POS) system, including cash, credit cards, and gift cards Who are you? Enthusiastic about our products! Experience playing and/or collecting Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, and/or Comics required Interested and passionate about gaming and bringing people together Ready and willing to interact and communicate clearly, concisely with patience and understanding Attentive, clean and organized Ability to identify customer needs, prioritize and work well with others What does a shift look like?

Customer Service:

Completing transactions, explaining products, advice with deck building, guiding new players, answering phones, etc.

Pulling Lists:

Reviewing emails, pulling cards requested by customers, following up with customers Sorting and putting away cards: Taking cards that were traded in and sorting so that they can be put away into binders and overstock

Trade Ins:

Recognizing what cards we are buying in for credit versus cash and working with customers

Operations:

Reviewing deliveries and confirming receipt of items and putting away new inventory, communicating when orders need to be placed for product and supplies

Cleaning:

Maintaining a neat and organized store including but not limited to cleaning the bathroom and taking out garbage

Shifts:

We are open 7 days a week. Shifts are typically 6-8 hours long. Employees should have a minimum of 2-3 nights available and at least 1 weekend day available. Next steps?
