In this vibrant role, you will be the friendly face guiding customers through their wellness journey, sharing product knowledge, and ensuring a welcoming environment. Your expertise will help educate and inspire customers while supporting sales goals and maintaining a well-organized retail space. Responsibilities Provide personalized customer service by understanding individual needs and recommending suitable products based on product knowledge and customer preferences. Conduct engaging product demos to educate customers about different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories. Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently. Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store remains clean, inviting, and well-maintained. Promote upselling of products to enhance customer experience and increase sales revenue. Maintain compliance with all state regulations regarding cannabis sales and age restrictions. Utilize strong communication skills to answer customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy. Support inventory management through stock checks and assisting with product ordering when necessary. Lead by example in demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and fostering a positive shopping environment for all customers. Experience 5+ years previous retail sales experience required, especially within grocery stores or speciality retail environments. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings. Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math is essential. Experience conducting product demos or educational sessions enhances your ability to engage customers effectively. Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse community members better. Strong communication skills combined with excellent phone etiquette will help build lasting customer relationships. Knowledge of the cannabis industry or related fields is advantageous but not required; a willingness to learn is key!
