Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. This position plays an important role in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and efficiently. Experience in retail or grocery environments is an asset, as is the ability to engage customers and promote products effectively. Key Responsibilities Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections. Demonstrate products and explain features and benefits to enhance the customer experience and support sales. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area. Handle cash, credit card, and debit card transactions in compliance with company policies and procedures. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient daily store operations. Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising products as needed. Respond to customer concerns or inquiries professionally and work toward prompt resolutions. Qualifications & Skills Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Basic mathematical skills with the ability to accurately process transactions. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Previous experience in a retail, convenience store, or grocery environment is preferred. Ability to promote products and increase sales through customer interaction and product knowledge. Bilingual abilities are an advantage and may help serve a diverse customer base. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling cash and transactions. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support coworkers as needed.
