SUMMARY:
The Production Lead role oversees, monitors, and coordinates production team activities, giving importance to individual member's and overall team's achievement of established goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage hourly and daily needs for the process at hand
Ensure team's goals are aligned with and representative of the company's overall
Act as liaison between team members and the rest of the organization
Allocate resources, manage process flow, and solve problems to ensure objectives are met
Demonstrate ownership of safety and housekeeping practices
Remain certified and able to complete every job within team
Lead activities to resolve issues needing corrective action
Assists supervisor in preparing training plans, performance reviews, and evaluations
Drives measurable improvements through training and direct involvement with people and processes
Initiates and implements process improvements in area of responsibility
Initiates and implements continuous improvement initiatives in area of responsibility
Provides regular feedback to employees regarding performance
Maintain good safety and housekeeping practices.
Lead/Assist in the development, review, and updating of the Operator Instructions.
Ensure that paperwork in area is complete and accurate during the build process.
Capable of on-the-job training which meets safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Serve as a positive influence on work area to maintain clean, safe, on schedule.
Demonstrate leadership escalation process / contacts appropriate individuals, when required
Coordinate operations and activities within or between departments, as needed
Facilitate and participate in problem solving teams
Perform and/or complete basic administration tasks in the supervisor's absence
Respond promptly and appropriately to team issues
Establish and run team meetings
Interact with and support other team leaders
Complete small special projects in a timely manner
Assist / Develop documented process and procedures
Communicate performance indicators for area of responsibility

Conduct layered audits and process checks within team

QUALIFICATIONS
Oversee a minimum of three (3) employees
1+ years' experience in assigned area preferred
Demonstrate commitment to safety guidelines
