The Opportunity We are seeking an Inside Counter Sales Associate to support our established and growing customer base through industrial sales and customer service. This is not a retail sales position. This high-impact role focuses on insides sales customer service and support, product knowledge, order processing, and helping customers get what they need when they need it. Key Responsibilities Provide professional, accurate, and dependable customer service Assist customers with product selection and sales support Learn and navigate STS's sales and order processing system Process customer requests and orders accurately Communicate with customers and team members regarding products, orders, and delivery commitments Perform basic computer and internet-based functions Use Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word Follow established sales and operating procedures Work with team members to solve customer problems and improve processes Develop knowledge of industrial products, applications, and customer requirements Participate in company-provided training Required Experience Quick learner who is comfortable with adapting easily to new products, computer systems, and processes Strong customer-service mindset with a commitment to meeting customer needs Dependable and willing to take ownership of responsibilities Relentless attention to detail Professional and respectful demeanor Great written and oral communication skills A team player Comfortable with asking questions and seeking guidance Great problem-solving skills with an interest in improving processes Preferred Qualifications PVF (Pipes, Valves, and Fittings), fasteners, and/or gaskets knowledge Experience with industrial sales or industrial supply Compensation Pay starting at $18 per hour Quarterly performance bonus (based on individual, team, and company performance) Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance 401(k) matching Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off Safety boot reimbursement ($80/year) Company-provided uniforms TWIC card paid by the company (if required) Our Workplace Values STS team members thrive in a culture built on: Knowledge & Professionalism
