Job Summary Join our dynamic retail team as a Retail Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused mindset will drive the success of our store. In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face guiding customers through their shopping experience, offering expert advice on gardening, horticulture, floral design, and outdoor maintenance products. Your proactive approach will ensure the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and inviting. This paid position provides an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills while helping customers create beautiful outdoor spaces and vibrant floral arrangements. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products related to lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and floral design Provide knowledgeable recommendations on horticulture supplies and outdoor equipment to meet customer needs Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions including cash handling and credit card processing Maintain organized shelves through stocking, merchandising, and inventory management to ensure product availability and visual appeal Offer exceptional customer service by answering questions, resolving concerns, and guiding shoppers through store layouts and product features Support store operations by performing cashier duties, retail math calculations, and processing returns or exchanges efficiently Collaborate with team members to uphold store cleanliness, organization, and safety standards Requirements Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture or floral design is advantageous Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking and merchandising tasks Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting products or moving stock A positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills to create welcoming shopping experiences This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their retail expertise while sharing their passion for gardening and outdoor living.
