Duties Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their needs. Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining cash handling protocols. Prepare food items according to safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly. Assist in stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability. Engage with customers to promote products through upselling techniques, enhancing their shopping experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the grocery store or restaurant setting. Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management. Skills Experience in grocery store or kitchen environments is preferred but not required. Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems for efficient transaction processing. Ability to perform food preparation tasks while adhering to safety standards. Knowledge of sanitation practices to maintain a clean working environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
