Job Description

Overview Join our retail team as a Retail Store Associate and become the friendly face that enhances the shopping experience for every customer. You'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining an organized sales floor, and supporting daily store operations. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and inspired to explore our wide range of products. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selections Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system (Toast) efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts processing Manage stock levels by merchandising products attractively, stocking shelves, and organizing displays to maximize sales potential Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional items and increase store revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear communication at all times Prepare samples of products for the customer experience Support store operations through inventory management, stocking, and ensuring the sales floor remains clean, organized, and inviting Qualifications Previous retail sales experience is preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and team members Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a broader customer base and work collaboratively Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math is essential Experience with merchandising, stock management, or grocery store operations is advantageous Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are required to foster positive interactions Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, stocking shelves, and organizing displays effectively This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their retail expertise. Weekend rotation is required; our business is open seven days per week. On Monday/Tuesday retail hours are shortened. Seeking a full time or part time person - ideal schedule can be discussed at time of interview. Kitchen prep, bakery, or cook experience would also be helpful as their could be some crossover to other areas of the business if interested.
Pay:
$16.50 - $20.00 per hour
