Store Manager Snooze Mattress Company - 4.0 Tuscaloosa, AL Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $110,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Paid time off Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Bilingual Furniture sales Jewelry sales Retail management Marketing Full Job Description Overview
STORE MANAGER
SNOOZE MATTRESS & WELLNESS
Tuscaloosa, Alabama | Full-Time | $60,000-$110,000+ Year One Earning Potential We are not looking for someone to simply manage a mattress store. We are looking for someone who can own one. Snooze Mattress & Wellness is looking for an elite sales professional and retail operator to lead our Tuscaloosa location. This is a high-autonomy role for someone who is competitive, disciplined, self-motivated, and genuinely takes pride in their numbers. You will have significant ownership over the store's sales performance, customer experience, presentation, follow-up, and day-to-day operation. You will spend much of your time as the primary sales professional in the showroom. That means there is nowhere to hide—and that's exactly what makes this opportunity attractive to the right person. If you are the kind of salesperson who wants to know your number, control your performance, build your own pipeline, close the business, and get paid for the results you produce, we want to meet you.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is not a traditional corporate retail management position where your primary responsibility is managing schedules and waiting for customers to walk through the door. You will be expected to sell, lead, follow up, operate, and improve the business. You will have the autonomy to run the showroom, but autonomy comes with accountability. We expect our Store Managers to know their numbers, understand their traffic, actively work their opportunities, maintain exceptional store standards, and consistently look for ways to improve performance. The right person will think like an owner.
You will be responsible for:
Driving sales and personally producing revenue Creating an exceptional, consultative customer experience Converting showroom traffic into customers Following up aggressively and professionally with leads and past customers Increasing average ticket through intelligent upselling and attachment Maintaining a clean, professional, high-performing showroom Managing daily store operations from open to close Monitoring inventory and coordinating deliveries and transfers Tracking performance and communicating results to ownership Executing promotions, events, and local marketing initiatives Building relationships within the local community Training and supporting backup/relief staff Identifying problems and solving them without waiting to be told what to do
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who has already proven that they can sell and lead . You do not need someone standing over your shoulder telling you what to do next. You see an empty showroom and think: "How do I create an opportunity?" You see a sales goal and think: "What do I need to do to hit it?" You see a customer who isn't ready to buy and think: "What haven't I uncovered yet?" And when the month isn't going the way you want, you don't blame traffic, the economy, the product, or the competition. You take ownership.
The ideal candidate:
Has a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals Is a strong closer , not simply a friendly salesperson Has previous retail management, leadership, or keyholder experience Is comfortable working independently and being accountable for results Has experience selling high-ticket products or services Understands discovery, needs analysis, objection handling, closing, and follow-up Is competitive and motivated by measurable performance Is confident asking for the sale Has strong business judgment and common sense Takes exceptional pride in personal presentation and store standards Can manage multiple responsibilities without becoming overwhelmed Is highly trustworthy and understands the responsibility that comes with operating a business independently Communicates professionally with customers, ownership, vendors, and team members Is comfortable using POS systems, CRM tools, computers, and basic reporting Is reliable, punctual, organized, and consistent Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply Mattress, furniture, automotive, jewelry, appliances, fitness, telecommunications, real estate, home improvement, or other high-ticket sales experience is a strong plus. Most importantly, we care about what you have accomplished—not simply where you have worked. If you have consistently been one of the top performers on your team, tell us.
THIS ROLE IS A GREAT FIT
IF...
You want:
Autonomy. You will have the opportunity to run your store and make decisions without someone constantly looking over your shoulder. Unlimited upside. Your income is tied directly to your performance. We want our best people making significantly more because they produce significantly more. A chance to actually sell. You won't spend your day buried in management bureaucracy. You will be on the floor, talking to customers, solving problems, and closing business. Accountability. Your performance will be measured. We believe great salespeople want to know exactly where they stand. Ownership. We want someone who treats the store's success as personal. A business to build. The opportunity isn't limited to waiting for walk-in traffic. Follow-up, referrals, community relationships, repeat business, and local outreach are all part of winning.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE A
successful Store Manager will: Consistently hit or exceed monthly sales goals Build a strong personal sales pipeline Convert showroom traffic at a high level Increase average transaction value and accessory attachment Follow up consistently on every legitimate opportunity Deliver an exceptional customer experience Keep the showroom operating at a high standard Know their numbers every day Identify opportunities before being asked Solve problems rather than pass them upward Become the trusted face of Snooze Mattress & Wellness in the Prattville market We don't expect perfection. We do expect ownership, effort, improvement, and results.
SALES & COMPENSATION
$60,000-$110,000+ Expected Year-One Earnings Your compensation is designed to reward performance, with a base salary plus performance-based incentives and uncapped earning potential. There is no artificial ceiling on what a great salesperson can earn. If you are an average performer, you will earn an average income. If you are exceptional, your compensation should reflect it. Additional performance-based incentives may also be available.
Benefits include:
Performance-based compensation with uncapped earning potential 10 days paid time off (PTO) per year Paid holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day Closed on Sunday Employee discount Schedule flexibility within business needs
SCHEDULE
Full-Time | Approximately 45 hours per week
Store Hours Monday-Saturday:
9:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
Sunday:
Closed Saturday availability is required Two full days off during the week Schedule will be structured around approximately 45 hours per week In-person position
THE BOTTOM LINE
This is a role for someone who wants ownership without having to buy the business. You will have the opportunity to take responsibility for a store, build relationships in the market, personally drive sales, and directly influence what you earn. We are looking for someone who can walk into a showroom alone, create energy, build trust, uncover needs, close the sale, follow up with the opportunities they didn't close, and leave the store better than they found it. If you need someone to tell you what to do every day, this probably isn't the job for you. If you are a high-level salesperson who wants autonomy, accountability, and uncapped earning potential, we should talk.
