Responsibilities Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations to cultivate a high-performing team. Manage inventory control processes to ensure stock levels meet customer demand while minimizing shrinkage through effective stock rotation and loss prevention strategies. Oversee purchasing decisions and vendor negotiations to secure quality products at competitive prices, ensuring optimal store profitability. Implement merchandising strategies that enhance product visibility and appeal, driving sales across all departments. Handle cash management duties such as cashiering, cash handling, payroll processing, and balancing registers accurately at shift end. Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and fostering positive shopping experiences. Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, inventory updates, and reporting; ensure compliance with pricing policies and retail math principles. Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store traffic and sales performance. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, store policies, and legal regulations while managing daily operations effectively. Experience Proven management experience in retail or hardware store environments with a strong background in supervising teams and managing store operations. Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training new staff members. Extensive knowledge of inventory management systems, POS technology, merchandising techniques, and retail math principles. Experience in budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and administrative tasks related to store management. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Prior experience in retail sales including grocery or hardware stores is advantageous; familiarity with wireless sales or marketing is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while managing multiple responsibilities such as stock stocking, pricing adjustments, and shift management. Excellent communication skills for team leadership, customer interactions, vendor negotiations, and staff training sessions.
