ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER
— Inti Vintage- Tyler Mall, Riverside Brand new store
- Opening early June
- 32+ hrs/week
- Hourly Hey!
WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
The product is sick. We curate hard. New drops daily. You'll fall in love with pieces before they hit the floor. The energy is alive. Loud music, bright lights, a team that actually likes each other. Not a quiet retail tomb. You actually grow. This is store #2. We're going to 100. The person we hire here is on the inside of every store that comes after. Real path, not corporate ladder fluff. No micromanaging. You own the floor. You're hired because we trust you to run it.WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Hitting daily and weekly sales goals — and pushing past them Opening and closing — cash, POS, deposits, end-of-day tight every time Coaching the team on the floor in real time — cross-sells, outfit builds, closes Daily game plan — knowing the #1 priority for the shift and 5 backup moves when #1 is blocked Floor merchandising and restock — sized racks, color stories, no piles, no dust Reporting the friction — what's slowing the team down, brought up weekly so it gets fixed Running the store when leadership isn't on-site. If something breaks on your shift, you handle it.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You should be able to do every one of these AND coach a new hire through them. You actually like selling. You know your numbers from your last job — UPT, AOV, attach rate, conversion. You've crushed a sales goal and you remember the exact tactic that did it. You read people. Rushed customer and browsing customer get two different approaches. You can name the cues — body language, pace, what their hands are doing. You open cold. You can walk up to a stranger and start a real conversation without "Can I help you?" Observation-based, warm, specific. You build outfits. A $20 jacket becomes three sales because you bridge tee + pant + accessory. You're grabbing pieces for the fitting room before being asked. You handle the soft no. "Let me think about it" isn't the end — you re-engage, ask what's holding them back, offer to hold it, give them one more reason. You handle the price flinch. Customer puts it back? You pivot to value or a lower-tier piece. No apologizing for the price. No proactive discounts. You know vintage. You can name three eras, brands, or pieces you'd actually wear — and you light up when you do. You've thrifted before. Bonus if you've shopped at Inti. You coach. You can break down a great sale into the moves that made it work and teach those moves to someone else.HOW WE OPERATE
Inti runs fast and direct. We love the people we work with and we expect a lot from each other. The standards everyone on the team holds: Bring a recommendation, not a question. "Based on the numbers, I think we should do X" beats "what should we do?" every time. Think first, then come to leadership. Own your domain. If it breaks on your shift, it's yours. Fix it, then walk leadership through what happened, how you fixed it, and how we make sure it never happens again. Try before you ask. Google it, watch a video, ask ChatGPT. If you've genuinely exhausted every route — come find someone. Two brains beat one. But don't hand off a problem before you've tried. Bad news comes with a plan. Three soft sales days? Bring the trend, the hypothesis, and the move you've already made. Don't just report — solve. First week, watch. Take notes. End of week one, come back with what you saw and how we can improve. That earns respect here, fast. Culture first, performance second. We're building something real. If you're in, you're in.SCHEDULE / GATES
32+ hrs/week, including weekends and evening/closing shifts Can start by late May (store opens early June — you'll be there for the build, and that part is fun) Reliable transportation to Tyler Mall, Riverside Retail or food-service leadership experience preferred — but if the sales instinct is real and you're hungry to grow, we'll talkHOW TO APPLY
