OVERVIEW

Our manufacturing company needs a full-time Production Shift Lead who is responsible for assisting in supervising all operations including Fiber, Molding and Packaging. He/She must be able to cover for the Shift Supervisor position when needed. The Production Shift Lead must also verify that the team is performing all daily duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Ensure quality standards are met and upheld

Ability to cover for Shift Supervisor when needed

Be able to complete and send out all shift related reports

Possess the skills to motivate, lead and manage your team and ensure all duties are performed accurately

Report any major discrepancies to management including process, safety or personnel related

Help Shift Supervisor with monitoring all attendance, tardiness, breaks and time off

Understand the entire Fiber, Molding and Packaging process and troubleshoot as necessary

Utilize good manufacturing practices and ensure work is complete to required standard

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and identifies hazards that may arise

Follow all health and safety rules and regulations

Any other tasks required from time to time may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have prior experience in Fiber and/or Molding roles
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Forklift Certified
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be flexible, reliable and well organized
  • Work and disciplinary record will be considered
  • Good verbal, reading, writing and basic math skills
  • Physically able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to: sitting, walking, climbing, kneeling, lifting, reaching and pulling.
  • Must be able to frequently lift 25 to 60 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for up to 11 hours per shift
  • Must be able to walk upstairs a minimum of 3 steps

This position requires the flexibility to work Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, as needed based on business needs.
