Job Description

OVERVIEW

This position provides accurate and timely clerical and data support for the Precision Agriculture Department. The Precision Agriculture Data Clerk enters, organizes, reviews, and maintains information from field operations, equipment systems, precision agriculture platforms, and departmental records. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, digital files, and multiple priorities while protecting confidential company information.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Entry and Record Maintenance:

Enter, update, and maintain operational, equipment, field, and precision agriculture data in approved spreadsheets, databases, websites, and departmental systems.

Data Quality Control:

Review records for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and duplicate or missing information; identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections with the appropriate team member.

File and Document Management:

Organize electronic and paper records using established naming, filing, retention, and version-control practices so information can be located and retrieved efficiently.

Operational Data Support:

Collect and consolidate information received from field personnel, equipment systems, telemetry platforms, research trials, and other approved sources for departmental use.

Reporting Support:

Prepare routine summaries, data tables, logs, and status reports using Microsoft Excel and other standard desktop applications; support recurring Precision Agriculture dashboards and management reports.

System and Website Support:

Assist with uploading, downloading, formatting, and maintaining approved data in Precision Agriculture applications and web portals, including digital inventories and operational records.

Communication and Coordination:

Work closely with Precision Agriculture staff, farm operations, supervisors, managers, and other departments to obtain missing information, clarify records, and meet reporting deadlines.

WORK EXPERIENCES

Previous experience in data entry, clerical support, records management, or administrative work preferred

Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and shared electronic filing systems

Experience reviewing data for accuracy and maintaining organized records

Agricultural or related operations, equipment, GIS, telemetry, or precision agriculture experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS
Computer Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard desktop programs; ability to learn departmental databases, web portals, and precision agriculture software.

Attention to

Detail:

Ability to enter and review information accurately, recognize inconsistencies, and follow established data standards and procedures.

Organization and Time Management:

Ability to prioritize assignments, maintain orderly records, meet deadlines, and manage recurring tasks with limited supervision.

Communication and Confidentiality:

Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle operational and company information responsibly and confidentially.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Associate degree, business administration coursework, data-entry training, or related certificate preferred

Bilingual (English and Spanish) highly preferred
